Team ENTy of Romania was crowned 2016 Imagine Cup World Champions, Microsoft’s global technology competition held at Seattle, Washington.
They used sensor fusion to detect and monitor if a patient is having balance and posture problems, visualized via an Azure cloud service in real-time. Normally it would take doctors months to see and diagnose related health issues.
The event featured John Boyega, lead actor from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as one of the three judges.
Grand prize winners from Romania, Flavia Oprea, Iulian-Razvan Matesica and Cristian Alexandrescu of Team ENTy earned a mentoring session with CEO Satya Nadella.
